Al’Tarba & Senbeï
Following the release of their first collaborative album, I approached the two musicians with a rough version of the story I had in mind for their track: More Pressure
Inspired by the artwork made for the album, the cinematographic masterpiece that is the movie Armageddon by Michael Bay, and a good dose of Akira ... this epic adventure takes us to the edge of the solar system where our space-men heroes are trying to prevent a terrible cataclysm.
Crafted almost entirerely by myself as a side project, it took about 4 months to finish while working after-hours, mostly nights and weekends.
The entire video was rendered using the Arnold toon shader in Maya and compositing+graphics were done in AfterEffects.

My friend Antoine created those great alien plants and the eggs using 3dsmax and I used them extensively to create the biome on the asteroid.
I modeled the big monster based on the cover art itself, designed by the talented people at VadeRetro.
