BRIGHTFARMS | commercial
I’m very happy that I had the opportunity to direct this unbearably cute spot for Brightfarms, an American indoor farming company primarly focusing on lettuce and other types of salad.
The good people at Fortnight Collective came up with a very cool script that had me tap into my childhood love of miniatures and world building.
Revolving around the concept of the diorama, we created these two different worlds, the first one being a gloomy depiction of the status quo and the second one presenting an utopian, whimsical version of reality that emphasises the vision empowering Brightfarms.
Starting with rough boards, styleframes and a thorough animatic/previz, we managed to focus our effort on a lot small details, which is primordial when trying to recreate the look and feel of miniature models. We also relied on a lot of Megascans assets to help populate our scenery.
Rendered entirely using Redshift in Maya and comp in AfterEffects.
